CCG Schedule for November 2011

Hello, Magic and L5R players!  The schedule of events for November 2011 is as follows.  Lots of special events this month, so take note!

Friday, November 4th - FNM! Standard-legal deck required. 6:30 pm start time, no entry fee.
Sunday, November 6th - Sunday EDH!  EDH deck required.  12:30 pm start time, no entry fee.
Monday, November 7th - Monday Night Draft!  INSx3.  6:30 pm start time, $12 entry fee, rare re-draft.
Tuesday, November 8th - L5R casual play!  Celestial-Edition Constructed deck suggested.  6:30 pm start time, no entry fee.

Friday, November 11th - FNM! Standard-legal deck required. 6:30 pm start time, no entry fee.
FNM 1 - 6:30 pm start time, no entry fee.  1st and 2nd place receive a booster pack.
FNM 2 - 6:30 pm start time, $16 entry fee.  Draft INSx3, 5-3-3-2 prize payout.  Keep what you draft!

November's FNM prize foil is Go For The Throat!  It's getting chilly out, so there's never been a better time to wear a scarf!

Also, a reminder that it's never to early to pre-order upcoming promotional sets like Premium Decks: Graveborn or Duel Decks: Venser vs Koth. All pre-orders will be honored and if any promotions are announced, they're always retroactively applied to existing pre-orders! It's a can't-lose proposition!  Also available are pre-orders for Dark Ascension, the second set of the Innistrad block, and for L5R, Emperor Edition Booster and Starter deck boxes!

A Special Announcement for this week's FNM! (October 21st, 2011)

Hello, Planeswalkers!

As it turns out, L.A. Mood has had the good fortune to acquire a few Foil Snapcaster Mages - two, to be exact.  While not a huge number, I think I can do something more interesting than simply sell them.

This Friday, October 21st, players may pay $5 at the registration table to register for the Foil Snapcaster FNM queue.  This queue will consist only of players who paid the registration fee, and the first-place finisher that night will receive a Foil Snapcaster Mage in addition to the normal FNM prize foil for October.

The Foil Snapcaster FNM Event will only proceed if 10 or more players queue for the event.  In the event fewer than 10 players are registered by 6:30, the event will be cancelled and all entry fees fully refunded.

As usual, there will be a completely free queue for players who don't much care for the Snapcaster Mage. The prize support for the different queues are as follows:

Snapcaster Queue:
1st Place:  1 Foil Snapcaster, 1 October FNM prize foil.
2nd Place:  $10 store credit, 1 October FNM prize foil.
3rd and 4th Place: 1 Innistrad Booster Pack, 1 automatic pick from the door prize selection.

Free Queue:
1st and 2nd Place:  1 Innistrad Booster Pack, 1 October FNM prize foil
3rd and 4th Place:  1 automatic pick from the door prize selection.
